The atelier

Nine people,
one long table

We started because good cloth was leaving the country and coming back with somebody else's name sewn into it.

The cutting is done by Rajesh, who has been cutting for twenty-two years and can tell you the weight of a cloth by touching it. The finishing is done by four women who trained together and have worked in the same room since 2018. Nothing is subcontracted.

We will not use a fusible interlining to save an hour, and we will not call something hand-finished when a machine did the work. It is occasionally why a piece is out of stock for a month.
